Justin currently works as a comedy screenwriter, director, and performer in Los Angeles. His script for AMERICAN SUMMER, starring Matthew Lillard and Efren Ramirez and directed by J.B. Rogers (AMERICAN PIE 2), is in postproduction, and his second movie for Nickelodeon, BEST PLAYER, is currently in production in Vancouver. Since moving to LA, Justin has cut a swath across the rewrite circuit and developed projects with such Hollywood mainstays as Imagine Television, Warner Brothers, and MTV Films; his script ADRENALINE is currently in preproduction with Radar Pictures for a winter 2010 shoot, while his script AMAZING GIRL is being packaged with producer Ian Bryce (SPIDER-MAN, TRANSFORMERS). Justin’s also currently solidifying financing for his independent film AMSTERDAM with Kirkland Tibbels (ADAM & STEVE, LATTER DAYS) producing. Justin most recently sold a pitch for the movie THE WAKEUP CALL to Fox Atomic with Millar-Gough producing, mainly to prove that he can write scripts that don’t start with the letter A.
Before moving to Los Angeles, Justin trained and performed as a comedic improviser in Chicago, including at Second City and at ImprovOlympic, where he trained with Del Close, the father of improvisation. Justin also got in the hot seat opposite Regis Philbin in Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?, but the audience led him astray on a question about organic food. Bastards.
